Hands-on Pasta Making Class & Tiramisù – LUNCH SESSION | Shared
In either a stunning 17th Century Palazzo next to Piazza Navona or a sleek and stylish school just a stone’s throw from the Pantheon, our charismatic English-speaking chef will facilitate a three-hour cooking masterclass that tackles some of Italy’s sweet and salty classics.
Dessert is as important as your savoury dish
Start the class with a welcome glass of prosecco and an antipasti to warm the taste buds. Then, to give us ample preparation time for our dolci, we dive deep into the process of making tiramisù before heading toward the pasta.
Savoiardi (ladyfingers) are gently dipped in rich coffee before being layered with dollops of delicately mixed eggs and panna (cream). Finished off with a sprinkle of cocoa, these delicious desserts are set aside to rest in time for an after-dinner energy boost!
Knead, roll and shape fresh pasta
Roll up your sleeves and get ready to make fresh pasta from scratch: a hands-on, kinaesthetic activity. Crafting the pasta can be educational, stimulating, and calming all at the same time! You will then learn to combine the pasta with the delicious sauces you will learn how to make using fresh and local ingredients. What would you like to make? Cacio e pepe, carbonara, or amatriciana?
Reap the fruits of your labor
A single cooking space has now been shared, and you have gotten caught up in the magic that preparing Italian food brings. Further extend and revel in this magic by eating your pasta dishes in a gorgeous dining room setting, and with a selection of red or white wines and soft drinks for you to choose from.
The essence of Italy-and more specifically, Rome- will never leave you as you move along with life back home. With your newfound knowledge and skills, and a take-home online recipe card as a souvenir, you can whip up these dishes to share with loved ones at any point in time!
This class has no more than 12 people per chef.
